ExtraCare Retail is a charity retailer looking for a Retail Area Support Manager to support the growing portfolio of shops within the midland’s region. The role assists the Regional Manager to ensure the region is profitable, commercially focused and delivers excellent customer service. This is an opportunity to lead with purpose while making a real impact, as every sale helps fund vital services for older people.
Job Responsibility:
Conducting shop visits and audits to ensure operational compliance and commercial focus
Ensuring consistent operational standards across all locations
Leading and inspiring store managers to deliver exceptional customer service and strong commercial results
Assisting with training and development needs by supporting new staff during induction
Supporting shop staff with the recruitment and induction of volunteers
Promoting the Gift Aid scheme across shops
Assisting with stock take processes and analysis
Supporting with new shop openings by co-ordinating stock plans and equipment orders
Working with shop teams to identify items to be sold on online marketplaces (eBay)
Covering shops to ensure they are open and trading.
Requirements:
Passion for retail and a commitment to making a difference
Experience in retail management or area management (first step into area management considered)
Ability to travel extensively across the region
Access to own car and driving licence is essential
Should live within the central midland’s region or a commutable distance
Able to work occasional weekends if the business requires support.
