Join Our Retail Team - Make a Real Difference in North Devon. Our Mission is Simple: To provide outstanding care and support to the community of North Devon impacted by life-limiting illness. This is an exciting and vital role at the heart of our retail operations, working closely with our current two-day-a-week administrator (Monday and Tuesday) to ensure seamless support across the week. It’s much more than administration—it’s about keeping our retail network running smoothly and supporting the incredible work that funds our care.
Job Responsibility:
Deliver exceptional support to donors, customers, and our retail team across North Devon
Greeting visitors and dealing with enquiries
Ordering/ managing stock
Gift Aid donor communications
Supporting new projects
Requirements:
Strong communication skills — able to maintain clear, consistent, and proactive communication with a job-share partner to ensure smooth handovers, shared priorities, and continuity of service
Friendly, calm, and efficient when supporting shops and the public, even on busy days
Excellent organisational and time management skills — skilled at prioritising tasks, monitoring progress, and understanding/ anticipating the wider impact on overall operations
Proven experience as an Administrator or Receptionist in a customer-focused environment
Experience of using Microsoft products and ability to learn new IT systems
Collaborative team player, adaptable and proactive in a fast-changing environment
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Able to verify data, maintain consistency, and uphold high standards in all tasks
