Job Description:

Grant Thornton’s well established Financial Services Restructuring & Insolvency team (FSR&I) specialise in supporting firms in the financial services sector navigate periods of stress and distress by providing restructuring and insolvency services. The FSR&I team support a wide range of financial services firms, including insurers, brokers, clearing banks, e-money and payment service providers, funds, and investment managers, among others.

Job Responsibility:

  • Delivering on a portfolio of case work
  • Managing junior team members effectively
  • Undertaking financial analysis, contingency planning, trading insolvencies and investigations work
  • Compiling reports, undertaking financial analysis of documentation, preparing strategy notes and risk documentation
  • Supporting with research on potential opportunities, identifying targets and keeping up to date with sub-sector specific developments
  • Assisting the team in preparing and pitching for new assignments
  • Taking responsibility for compliance, budgets, and billing
  • Contributing to the department's marketing efforts
  • Building a good network of contacts both internally and externally
  • Contributing to internal and external presentations
  • Spotting cross selling opportunities
  • Maintaining impetus on progressing projects and delivering on those projects
  • Balancing conflicting demands and removing obstacles to achieving results
  • Dealing with difficult and complex problems

Requirements:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA)
  • Open to furthering knowledge of UK insolvency regime by completing CPI / ICAEW Certificate of Insolvency Qualification
