Job Description

The Restaurants General Manager is a key leadership role within the Food & Beverage team at Four Seasons Hotel Istanbul at the Bosphorus. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing all restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service standards, and delivering a memorable dining experience to our guests. You will lead and develop high-performing teams, collaborate closely with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage, and drive operational excellence and financial performance across all outlets.

Job Responsibility

  • Lead, hire, train, supervise, and coach restaurant teams in line with Four Seasons standards
  • Ensure a refined, well-managed dining environment for breakfast, lunch, and dinner services
  • Maintain a professional presence on the floor, handling guest feedback and complaints effectively
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef and Director of Food & Beverage on menus, promotions, and guest experience enhancements
  • Oversee reservations, seating, and service flow to maintain operational excellence
  • Ensure consistent application of service standards and techniques across all teams
  • Prepare staff schedules, forecast covers and revenue, and manage labor costs and overtime
  • Monitor financial performance including inventories, payroll, and POS reports
  • Maintain daily operational logs and ensure effective communication with senior leadership
  • Foster teamwork and a positive work environment across departments
  • Ensure proper handling and reporting of guest and employee incidents

Requirements

  • University degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 2 years of managerial experience in fine dining restaurant operations
  • Strong knowledge of Food & Beverage operations, including wines and spirits
  • Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial performance
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and team management skills
  • Strong guest-facing communication skills with fluency in English
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and POS systems
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced, luxury hospitality environment
