Job Description:

Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests at Delta Hotels Ottawa City Centre. Maintain service standards, communicate with kitchen staff, ensure guest satisfaction, and handle payment processing in a professional hospitality environment.

Job Responsibility:

Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
Set tables according to type of event and service standards
Answer questions on menu selections
Communicate with kitchen regarding menu questions and product availability
Record transactions in MICROS system
Check with guests to ensure satisfaction
Maintain cleanliness of work areas
Complete closing duties including restocking items
Present check to guest and process payment

Requirements:

High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
At least 1 year of related work experience
Smart Serve certification mandatory
Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
Ability to grasp, turn, and manipulate objects requiring fine motor skills
Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces
Ability to reach overhead and below knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping
