The Restaurant Manager will lead the Farmyard Kitchen with energy, warmth and a genuine passion for hospitality. Creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, you will ensure every guest enjoys an exceptional dining experience from arrival to departure. Working closely with the Head Chef, you will drive seamless collaboration between front and back of house while leading and developing a confident, engaging front of house team. You will champion estate produce, bring the story of The Newt to life for guests and ensure service reflects the restaurant’s relaxed yet refined sharing-plate dining experience. Job Responsibility:
Ensure the restaurant operates in the most productive and efficient way through effective cost control, staffing management and sales analysis
Deliver an exceptional guest experience by creating a warm, welcoming and engaging restaurant atmosphere
Lead, motivate and develop the front of house team, maintaining high standards of service, presentation and teamwork
Oversee recruitment, training and development of team members to build a confident and knowledgeable team
Champion estate produce and ensure the team can confidently share the story behind the food and dining experience
Work closely with the Head Chef to maintain seamless communication between front and back of house
Maintain systems that ensure the restaurant’s standards, organisation and presentation remain consistently high
Support the preparation and operational planning for the restaurant’s future expansion
Requirements:
Proven experience in a restaurant or hospitality management role
A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences
Confident leader who leads from the front and inspires their team
Strong organisational and operational management skills
Ability to manage costs, staffing levels and sales performance
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
A positive, proactive and solutions-focused mindset
Interest in seasonal produce and farm-to-fork dining
Driving license is recommended
