Job Responsibility
Greet and welcome guests with warmth and professionalism, creating an exceptional first impression
Manage reservations and seating arrangements to ensure an efficient flow of service
Escort guests to their tables, ensuring comfort and attention to detail at all times
Maintain the presentation of menus, reception areas and dining spaces to the highest standards
Monitor the restaurant floor for seating availability, service flow and guest satisfaction
Communicate effectively with the service and kitchen teams to support smooth operations
Accommodate guest preferences and special requests wherever possible
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of host and reception areas throughout the shift
Respond promptly to guest enquiries, providing accurate information about the restaurant and services
Support the team in maintaining a seamless and memorable dining experience
Uphold all health, safety and company policies and procedures
Requirements
Previous experience in a host/hostess or guest‑facing role, ideally within a luxury hotel or high‑end restaurant
Strong understanding of guest service standards and restaurant operations
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to presentation standards
Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced, high‑standards environment
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage reservations and seating flow
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a warm and engaging manner
A proactive mindset, anticipating guest needs and supporting the wider team
