Job Description

Restaurant General Manager for the opening of Hyde in Mexico City. Hyde is a brand with a festival vibe and music at its core, part of Ennismore, a creative hotel group.

Job Responsibility

  • Establish, monitor, and manage budgeted revenue and net operating income
  • Develop and implement action plans to achieve or exceed budgeted revenue and net operating income targets
  • Ensure adherence to labor and expense guidelines
  • Institute and oversee service and product upgrades
  • Lead and manage all restaurant team members
  • Select, train, and develop all restaurant staff
  • Develop and enforce restaurant-specific policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Promote exceptional guest satisfaction and implement guest recognition programs
  • Foster a strong community presence
  • Stay focused on achieving brand goals
  • Collaborate regularly with hotel leadership teams
  • Liaise with the head office teams
  • Prepare and submit required reports on time
  • Conduct regular department meetings
  • Participate in long-term planning
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local liquor laws, health and sanitation regulations
  • Any other reasonable duties as assigned by your leader

Requirements

  • At least five (4) year of experience in a senior food & beverage role, preferably leading a high profile restaurant, within a lifestyle brand
  • Proven track record of successful hotel and/or restaurant openings with sustained success well beyond the opening phase
  • Flexibility in working hours is required
  • Strong team leader, natural at managing and inspiring others
  • Combine analytical and methodical thinking with high attention to detail and a solution-focused approach
  • Strong knowledge of health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment and have a high-level attention to detail
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Passion for hospitality, inspire an enthusiastic guest-centered approach
  • Able to easily identify and utilize emerging trends and technology to generate revenue
  • Exhibit a professional attitude, diplomacy and an ability to handle difficult situations
  • Highly responsible, reliable and ethical
