Job Description

Estelle Manor is a rural retreat set on an 85-acre estate in Oxfordshire. The manor has four restaurants, an extraordinary 3,000 sq metre Roman-inspired spa- Eynsham Baths, 108 bedrooms and a gym with class studios and padel courts. Plus, there’s a kids’ club for the little ones and a workspace. We're looking for an experienced RESTAURANT FLOOR MANAGER to join the team in our vibrant Brasserie restaurant at Estelle Manor. As Restaurant Floor Manager, you'll be at the heart of the guest experience, leading from the floor and ensuring every service is delivered to the exceptional standards that Estelle Manor is known for. Working closely with the Restaurant Manager, you'll help oversee the day-to-day operation of the Brasserie, supporting and developing the team while creating memorable moments for our members and guests. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves being in the action, building relationships, motivating teams and delivering world-class hospitality.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading service from the floor and setting the standard for excellence
  • Supporting the Restaurant Manager with the smooth day-to-day operation of the Brasserie
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing a high-performing team
  • Ensuring service standards, operational procedures and guest expectations are consistently exceeded
  • Building genuine relationships with members and guests, creating a welcoming and personalised experience
  • Supporting team engagement and fostering a positive, collaborative culture
  • Taking pride in every detail, ensuring the restaurant is always operating at its very best

Requirements

  • Previous Food & Beverage management experience within a luxury hotel, private members' club or premium hospitality environment
  • A hands-on leadership style and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
  • Strong operational knowledge and experience managing restaurant service standards
  • The ability to motivate, inspire and develop teams
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Confidence engaging with guests, colleagues and senior stakeholders alike
  • The ability to stay calm, organised and solution-focused in a fast-paced environment
  • A positive attitude, high energy and a genuine love for hospitality

  • Teaming up with the culinary team on menus, service, and product availability
  • Run the daily briefing for the restaurant/bar team, promoting daily specials and upselling techniques
  • Coordinating and running the reservations system and drafting floor plan based on how many hungry guests we're expecting
  • Supporting the Restaurant Manager with Food & Beverage stock
  • ordering and stock take, and training
  • Handling the cash flow and making sure our revenue reports are in line with hotel standards
  • Team’s scheduling
  • Ensuring the restaurant/bar area are Health and Safety compliant for each shift
  • Responsible for the safe opening and closing of the restaurant
