Job Description:

Caledonian is seeking a friendly and customer-focused Restaurant Assistants to join the food and beverage team at the Caledonian Island Hotel in the Isle of Wight. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering excellent service. As a Restaurant Assistant, you will play an important part in creating positive dining experiences for our guests. You will be a visible and approachable presence within the restaurant, supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the department.

Job Responsibility:

  • Serving food and drinks in the restaurant in line with company standards while delivering excellent customer service
  • Maintaining a visible presence to ensure guest requests are handled in a friendly, efficient and professional manner
  • Confidently upselling products and promoting offers where appropriate
  • Supporting colleagues and contributing positively to the smooth operation of the restaurant department

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service skills and a warm, approachable manner
  • Positive, can-do attitude and strong work ethic
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with colleagues and guests
  • Team player with flexibility to work a range of shift patterns, including weekends and holidays
