Job Description:

REST is a partnership project that brings together mental health support, local services and a place where everyone can feel welcome. REST stands for Recover, Eat, Support, and Talk, reflecting the different ways we can be more connected in our community. At REST Norwich, we’re not just a hub — we’re a place where people walk in and feel seen, heard, and supported. We’re open 7 days a week, including out of hours for our evening sanctuary, for anyone aged 18+ who’s struggling with their mental health, feeling overwhelmed, or just needs a safe place to land.

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience within a mental health, wellbeing, or community setting
  • Strong people management skills, with confidence in handling employee relations matters sensitively, professionally, and with care
  • A trauma-informed, recovery-focused approach that empowers both staff and the people we support
  • The ability to build meaningful partnerships with local services and community organisations
  • Experience creating strong, collaborative relationships across the VCSE sector, working with volunteers and small community groups to develop joined-up, community-led support
  • A driver’s license and access to a vehicle essential for this role
