The role plays a key part in delivering outcomes across the programme’s workstreams and in shaping the design, implementation and continuous improvement of Responsible AI processes, workflows and tooling. Working collaboratively with teams across Commercial, Technology, Cyber Security, Corporate Security, HR and Supply Chain Management, the role helps translate policy and regulatory requirements into practical, scalable ways of working that support innovation while managing risk.
Job Responsibility
End‑to‑end governance ownership: Own and operate elements of the end‑to‑end Responsible AI governance model, ensuring effective triage, routing, and proportional treatment of use cases through appropriate approval pathways
Risk oversight and decision support: Provide expert review of AI use cases, advising senior business stakeholders on risk profiles, control expectations and decision trade‑offs
Risk framework evolution: Lead the continuous improvement of Responsible AI risk assessment frameworks, methodologies and classification approaches
Emerging technology readiness: Shape and define Responsible AI requirements for emerging technologies and new model capabilities
Lifecycle embedding: Drive the systematic embedding of Responsible AI across key delivery lifecycle stages
Risk register ownership and integration: Maintain and evolve the Responsible AI risk registers, ensuring alignment and integration with related risk frameworks
Tool adoption and continuous improvement: Drive adoption and continuous improvement of Responsible AI tooling by defining requirements and aligning tooling roadmaps with regulatory, risk and business needs
Stakeholder enablement: Work closely with Privacy Managers, Product, Technology and Cyber Security teams to embed Responsible AI ways of working
Operational Support: Provide operational support as required by the Responsible AI lead, supporting with assessments, incidents, or advisory matters
Requirements
Bachelor/Master Degree
At least 2 years’ experience in an AI governance/Responsible AI role, with a focus on practical implementation and operationalisation
Knowledge of Responsible AI risk types, root causes and mitigations, including hallucinations, prompt injection and content safety
A strong understanding of regulatory requirements and obligations, including the EU AI Act, but also adjacent regulations such as the EU Data Act, GDPR or Cyber Resilience Act
Ability to deliver workstreams cross-functionally with strong stakeholder management skills
Proactively analyse and identify gaps in the programme, contribute ideas and evolve current approach and thinking
Ability to provide expertise and advice on Responsible AI requirements and best practice across the business
A solid understanding of concepts such as LLMs, GenAI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agentic AI
Fluency in English
