Job Description:

At Care By Us (Part of the CCH Group), every day is different. We are currently looking for full-time and part-time Respite Support Workers to join our friendly, dedicated team across Hertfordshire. In this vital role, you will step in to provide temporary relief to primary caregivers. Your goal is to seamlessly maintain the service user's normal routine, ensuring their day-to-day living continues exactly as it would with their own family.

Job Responsibility:

  • Stepping in to provide temporary relief to primary caregivers
  • maintaining the service user's normal routine
  • creating a natural, comforting, and inclusive environment
  • supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism and autistic spectrum disorders, complex needs, mental health issues, and challenging behaviours
  • providing family-style support and companionship
  • assisting with personal care
  • household support
  • encouraging community inclusion
  • medication administration or assistance

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • genuine desire to help others with patience, empathy, and compassion
  • excellent communication skills
  • ability to remain calm in challenging situations
