Job Description

Join our team at Columbia County Health System! We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Therapy team. The ideal candidate provides safe and effective respiratory care, maintains high safety and clinical standards, communicates well with patients and clinical staff, and demonstrates sound judgment and strong teamwork.

Job Responsibility

Safely and effectively administer respiratory therapy medications
Use, maintain, and care for respiratory therapy equipment and supplies properly
Maintain accurate and thorough clinical records and charting
Uphold high safety standards and work responsibly at all times
Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, patients, and hospital staff
demonstrate strong teamwork
Exercise good judgment, tact, dependability, and accuracy in all duties
Educate patients about their respiratory condition and treatment as appropriate

Requirements

Active Washington State RT license
Current ACLS preferred
BLS certification every 2 years

Prior use of electronic medical records (EMR), preferred
High School Diploma required
Associates Degree preferred
Completion of an accredited Respiratory Therapy Education Program, i.e. CoARC, JRCRTE, or CAAHEP required
Must have current state Licensure (RLT) in applicable state of employment. Must have CRT by NBRC required
