We are hiring a dedicated Respiratory Therapist for full time night coverage to deliver compassionate, patient-centered respiratory care across inpatient settings. This role is responsible for performing in-depth respiratory assessments, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and delivering therapeutic and diagnostic services according to clinical guidelines and organizational standards. The night therapist will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to optimize respiratory function and ensure continuity of care during overnight hours.
Job Responsibility:
Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and document findings clearly
Initiate, monitor, and adjust respiratory therapies including aerosol medication delivery, bronchial hygiene therapies, lung expansion therapies, and airway clearance techniques
Provide diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gas sampling and pulmonary function testing when applicable
Educate patients and families on respiratory disease management and equipment use
Deliver compassionate, patient-centered respiratory care across inpatient settings
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to optimize respiratory function and ensure continuity of care during overnight hours
Requirements:
Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent from an accredited program
Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
Current State of Wisconsin license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
Required certifications to be obtained within the first year of employment: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS
