Respiratory Therapist

• Perform comprehensive respiratory assessments and document findings clearly
• Initiate, monitor, and adjust respiratory therapies including aerosol medication delivery, bronchial hygiene therapies, lung expansion therapies, and airway clearance techniques
• Provide diagnostic testing such as arterial blood gas sampling and pulmonary function testing when applicable
• Educate patients and families on respiratory disease management and equipment use
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered respiratory care across inpatient settings
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other allied health professionals to optimize respiratory function and ensure continuity of care during overnight hours

• Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent from an accredited program
• Certification as a Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
• Current State of Wisconsin license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner
• Required certifications to be obtained within the first year of employment: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and PALS
• Strong clinical judgment
• Effective communication skills
