Job Responsibility:
Performs patient assessments
Performs general respiratory care procedures and protocols
Performs critical care procedures in adult care areas
Performs blood gas analysis
Performs maintenance and management of all equipment
Provides patient education
Requirements:
Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy
Graduate of an accredited school of Respiratory Therapy
Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Licensed by the State of Georgia under the Composite State Board of Medical Examiners
BLS, PALS, ACLS (ALS can be used in place of ACLS) required
Must be actively practicing and maintaining all required competencies
