Job Description:

Desert View Hospital is a 25-bed, acute care hospital set in a rural community. Desert View provides safe and competent nursing care for patients in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy. We provide professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. The concepts of Patient Centered Care will provide the foundation for all nursing care. Demonstrates Service Excellence standards at all times.

Job Responsibility:

Delivery of respiratory therapy modalities and respiratory assessments to patients of all ages in all patient care areas including critical care, NICU or Labor & Delivery
Perform responsibilities independently and without supervision except as necessary during orientation or training

Requirements:

Graduate of a CoARC-approved Respiratory Therapist program
One (1) year in acute/critical care respiratory therapy
Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department
Registered Respiratory Therapist credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care
Current Nevada Practitioner of Respiratory Care License
Nevada Blood Gas Technologist (minimum)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified by the American Heart Association
Pediatric Advanced life Support (PALS) certified by the American Heart Association (to be obtained within first 90 days if applicable)
Neonatal Resuscitative Provider (NRP) certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics (to be obtained within first 90 days if applicable)
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served
