As our Respiratory Therapist you will deliver life-saving care across diverse patient populations. Every day you will administer competent respiratory care across all specialty areas (ER, Neonatal, Pedi, Geriatric, Critical Care), directly impacting critical outcomes.
Job Responsibility
Administer competent respiratory care across all specialty areas (ER, Neonatal, Pedi, Geriatric, Critical Care)
Competently deliver all Respiratory Care procedures per policy, including monitoring mechanical ventilation, administering medications, and patient assessment
Understand ramifications of hemodynamic monitoring, and interpret blood work results
Provide patient teaching and training
Maintain accurate/complete records of all procedures
Verify physician orders
receive/give accurate reports
update patient profile card
Attend department in-services, meetings, patient care rounds, and mandatory hospital meetings
Keep Supervisor apprised of workload/patient acuity changes
Requirements
Graduate from a two (2) year AMA approved School for Respiratory Care
passing score on the NBRC entry level examination
Current Oregon State Respiratory Care license
Current AHA BLS certification
Current AHA ACLS, PALS, NRP within three (3) months of hire
