Respiratory Therapist

• Administer competent respiratory care across all specialty areas (ER, Neonatal, Pedi, Geriatric, Critical Care)
• Competently deliver all Respiratory Care procedures per policy, including monitoring mechanical ventilation, administering medications, and patient assessment
• Understand ramifications of hemodynamic monitoring, and interpret blood work results
• Provide patient teaching and training
• Maintain accurate/complete records of all procedures
• Verify physician orders
• receive/give accurate reports
• update patient profile card
• Attend department in-services, meetings, patient care rounds, and mandatory hospital meetings
• Keep Supervisor apprised of workload/patient acuity changes

• Graduate from a two (2) year AMA approved School for Respiratory Care
• passing score on the NBRC entry level examination
• Current Oregon State Respiratory Care license
• Current AHA BLS certification
• Current AHA ACLS, PALS, NRP within three (3) months of hire
