Job Description

Our Transport program provides complete care for high acuity patients from infant to adolescent during inter-facility transport via ambulance or fixed wing. Transport Respiratory Therapists (RT) ensure continuity of care, medical management and safe transport of patients. From ventilatory/cardiac monitoring to ICU level of care, RT's work directly with doctors, nurses, other medical professionals to give best possible outcomes for patients.

Job Responsibility

  • Assesses the patient’s cardio/ pulmonary system according to professional practice standards and institutional policy/procedure
  • Provides for a safe environment and safe delivery of care
  • Evaluates effectiveness of care and care coordination progressing patients toward desired outcomes
  • Implements patient population specific interventions based on individual patient needs
  • Organizes coordinates and prioritizes respiratory care activities considering the needs of the patient
  • Demonstrates leadership in the delivery of patient care
