Our Transport program provides complete care for high acuity patients from infant to adolescent during inter-facility transport via ambulance or fixed wing. Transport Respiratory Therapists (RT) ensure continuity of care, medical management and safe transport of patients. From ventilatory/cardiac monitoring to ICU level of care, RT's work directly with doctors, nurses, other medical professionals to give best possible outcomes for patients.
Job Responsibility
Assesses the patient’s cardio/ pulmonary system according to professional practice standards and institutional policy/procedure
Provides for a safe environment and safe delivery of care
Evaluates effectiveness of care and care coordination progressing patients toward desired outcomes
Implements patient population specific interventions based on individual patient needs
Organizes coordinates and prioritizes respiratory care activities considering the needs of the patient
Demonstrates leadership in the delivery of patient care
