As a Respiratory Therapist, you will join an established team of RTs who share your passion for delivering highly specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues. You'll be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizer treatments to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support.
Job Responsibility:
Verifies physician orders to carry out all aspects of respiratory care, and documents all respiratory activity
Cleans and assembles equipment, and ensures supply stock levels to meet patient care commitments
Educates and instructs patient, patient's family, and team members on therapeutic and diagnostic procedures
Possesses lifesaving skills for all age groups, while maintaining health care provider certification
Collaborates with team members to enhance and promote a team effort to provide timely and effective patient care
Fulfills continuing education requirements and maintains current licensure
Requirements:
Completion of a Respiratory Care Degree Program
Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) by the Texas Medical Board (TMB)
Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC)
BLS certification (through an approved AHA program)
