MBBS or equivalent medical qualification
Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
Experience working within an NHS hospital setting
Experience managing respiratory patients in acute and inpatient settings
Minimum 1 year of NHS experience
Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in respiratory and general medicine

Job Responsibility

Support the day-to-day functioning of the Respiratory Medicine service, including inpatient and outpatient care
Conduct ward rounds and manage respiratory inpatients, including complex and acute cases
Deliver outpatient clinics, including routine and Two-Week Wait (TWR) referrals
Perform respiratory procedures, including bronchoscopy, pleural procedures, and thoracocentesis, under appropriate consultant supervision
Provide in-reach support to acute services, including the Clinical Assessment Unit and emergency admissions
Participate in the management of acute respiratory failure, including the use of CPAP and non-invasive ventilation (NIV)
Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including emergency medicine, critical care, and medical specialities
Contribute to clinical governance to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality patient care
Participate in audit, research, and Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs)
Support undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, including supervision of junior doctors and medical students
