Are you an experienced Supervisor who thrives on leading a high performing team in a practical setting? Here at Arco Professional Safety Services, we are looking to recruit a Respiratory Equipment Supervisor to lead our small team of Equipment Inspectors / Technicians based on our customer site in the Plymouth area.

Job Responsibility:

  • Supervising and leading a team of RPE Inspectors who are responsible for the servicing of on-site respiratory equipment at our customers facility
  • Day to day people management of team performance, annual leave, sickness and absence
  • Ensuring the quality of work delivered by the RPE Inspector team meets the required quality standards
  • Ensuring compliance with Arco’s and site-specific operating procedures
  • Carrying out agreed COSHH Inspections as per project scope for all of the RPE on site
  • Completing and maintaining COSHH record keeping and Arco’s Asset tracking system
  • Managing the stock of spare parts and equipment within the workshop to carry out monthly testing
  • Additionally supporting the wider team within the Plymouth area

Requirements:

  • An experienced Supervisor / People Manager who is able to develop a team to meet critical customer and contractual requirements
  • Face to Face customer experience with excellent telephone manner
  • Strong IT and data entry skills, particularly Asset Tracking Systems
  • Manual handling experience
  • UK Driving license
  • Eligible to receive UK Security Clearance

Nice to have:

Respiratory equipment and inspection knowledge is desirable, although training will be given

  • Order supplies weekly and as needed to ensure that a minimum of a two week supply is maintained at all times
  • Assemble and test all life support equipment and perform all safety checks
  • Assist with the decontamination procedures to ensure all equipment is prepared for sterilization processing
  • Monitor and track all rental equipment and verify invoices are correct before submitting to mgr for approval
  • Monitor and record refrigerator temperature in the Respiratory Care Department
  • Drop charges for all modalities in the sleep center and provide all clerical responsibilities assigned by the sleep center supervisor
