As our Respiratory Therapist, you will provide essential direct patient care, assessing, treating, and managing patients with respiratory disorders. Your role is vital for improving patient outcomes. Every day you will assess respiratory status, implement treatment plans (oxygen, ventilation, airway management), and educate patients/families. You'll document interventions and collaborate with physicians and medical staff. To be successful, you will demonstrate strong clinical skills, critical thinking, and equipment proficiency. Excellent communication for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration, plus a commitment to safety and continuous development, are essential.
Job Responsibility:
Provide essential direct patient care, assessing, treating, and managing patients with respiratory disorders
Document interventions and collaborate with physicians and medical staff
Stocking respiratory equipment and supplies in designated areas
Maintaining equipment by performing equipment safety checks
Cleaning and setting up equipment and placing equipment into designated areas
Delivering compressed gas to multiple locations within the hospital, including lobby level and surgery/OR
Communicating with staff and supervisors with concerns on equipment levels and par
Performs only modalities that fall under the scope of non-licensed personnel, which promotes a positive quality work environment in the provision of quality patient care
Requirements:
Current enrollment in an accredited Respiratory Care program
Basic Life Support - CPR
