Resource/Travel Administrator

• Directing, coordinating and controlling all aspects of the operating functions, processes, and staff of the facility
• Serving as liaison between the Governing Board, the Medical Staff, and all departments of the facility
• Reporting pertinent activities to the Governing Board
• Appointing a person responsible for the facility in absence of Administrator
• Planning for services and operation of the facility
• Overall management of the Partnership
• Lead discussion/presentation during Monthly Operations Review call with USPI's Home Office team
• Up to 25% travel required
• Pass Motor Vehicle Record check
• Deploy, monitor, and ensure EDGETM is foundation of operational processes
• Ensure compliance with USPI's policies
• Develop, monitor, and control staffing needs, operations budget, and capital budget
• Develop, monitor, and control purchasing plan
• Ensure compliance with government regulatory agencies and accrediting bodies
• Negotiate and control external contracts
• Establish pricing for procedures based on cost analysis
• Foster positive work relationships
• Develop and ensure compliance with departmental policy manuals
• Monitor variations in financial performance
• Hold monthly staff meetings
• Manage exempt and non-exempt employees
• Review employee performance
• Review and approve disciplinary action and/or discharge
• Evaluate management performance
• Approve addition/deletion of positions and applicants
• Develop employee productivity analysis
• Implement orientation, training, and ongoing evaluation
• Manage employee files and records
• Provide educational opportunities
• Ensure surgical programs and clinical services compliance
• Manage clinical departments
• Monitor function of surgical and patient care equipment
• Develop and implement sales/marketing plan
• Identify and develop new services
• Foster positive public relations
• Develop, evaluate, and promote continuous quality improvement program
• Administer infection control program and medical staff review
• Identify and correct quality care issues
• Develop statistical indicators
• Serve on Quality Improvement Committee
• Process credentialing of practitioners
• Collaborate with Medical Director on Medical Staff Bylaws
• Collaborate with Medical Director as liaison
• Develop system for physician and patient needs
• Attend corporate administrative meetings
• Act in accordance with vision, mission, and business philosophy
• Maintain membership in professional associations
• Stay current in healthcare environment changes
• Identify areas for additional reinforcement
• Attend all mandatory in-services and meetings
• Follow professional conduct and dress code policy
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality
• Communicate effectively with visitors, physicians, staff, patients, and employees

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum three years of experience in a top administrative or management position in the health care field
• Good command of the English language, both verbal and written
• Ability to work well with physicians, employees, patients, and others
• The Governing Board may determine other qualifications as seen fit

Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) leadership experience or hospital surgical leadership experience with ASC exposure
