As a Resource Planning Analyst at AO, you’ll play a key role in making sure our sales team runs like clockwork. You’ll create accurate forecasts for call volumes and sales, plan resources across the team, and optimise shift patterns to keep everything running smoothly. You’ll monitor real-time performance, spotting variances between forecasted and actual figures, and asking the big questions: Why are more customers calling than expected? Is this spike in sales a short-term trend or something bigger? Your insights will help us make quick, smart decisions that keep our customers happy and our teams performing at their best. This is a role for someone who loves working with data, thrives on problem-solving, and enjoys collaborating with stakeholders across the business. If you’re methodical, organised, and ready to make a real impact, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Job Responsibility:

  • Translate demand forecasts into tangible capacity plans, outlining required full-time equivalent (FTE) staffing levels, necessary skill profiles, and adherence requirements
  • Proactively identify and communicate potential capacity shortfalls or surpluses, providing clear, data backed recommendations to the Service Delivery Manager and leadership teams to mitigate risks
  • Create and maintain compelling dashboards and reports to provide transparency into planning assumptions, forecast accuracy, and future resource needs
  • Work collaboratively with Real-Time Analysts to ensure the operational reality aligns with planning assumptions and to provide a feedback loop on forecast accuracy and intraday trends
