Job Description

As a Resource Planner, you'll be responsible for coordinating and managing safety-critical track protection resources to ensure smooth, efficient service delivery to support Network Rail and Rail for London Infrastructure projects.

Job Responsibility

  • Planning and managing safety-critical track protection resources
  • Allocating client requests to the most suitably qualified and competent operatives
  • Ensuring operatives receive full work notifications, including contact details, meeting points, and job requirements
  • Generating all necessary briefings, job descriptions, and summary sheets
  • Acting as the point of contact for clients and operatives, resolving any issues or queries raised
  • Coordinate training to ensure safety-critical licenses remain valid
  • Continuously servicing the current contract, but push to obtain new opportunities

Requirements

  • Someone with safety-critical rail protection experience or willing to be trained in either: RFLI or NWR
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with the ability to liaise across teams and with external stakeholders
  • Proactive problem-solver who can remain calm under pressure

  • Establishes and manages the global templates for use in creating schedules and forecasts of future resource requirements
  • Leads the standardization and integration of all schedules used in the Integrated Planning & Scheduling function

  • Identifies, develops and implements work process and best practices for Integrated Planning & Scheduling
  • Provides direct supervision and coaching to the Planning and Scheduling Group
