Are you looking for a new and exciting role? Join our team at Birmingham Airport as a Resource and Planning Manager, playing a crucial role, you will be responsible for managing the scheduling and allocation of staff within the assisted travel service. Your role is critical in ensuring that the service runs smoothly, especially during peak times, by adapting to fluctuating demands and maintaining high operational standards. You will collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure a seamless experience for passengers requiring assisted travel services.

Job Responsibility:

  • Regularly analyse passenger flow data, historical trends, and seasonal fluctuations to accurately forecast staffing requirements.
  • Real-Time Adjustments: Monitor ongoing operations and make real-time adjustments to the roster as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with staffing agencies.
  • Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, absence, and performance metrics.

Requirements:

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyse data and forecast resource needs effectively.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with staff, management, and external agencies.
  • Adaptability: Capable of responding swiftly to changing demands and operational challenges.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with resource management software (e.g., Time gate) and scheduling tools.
  • Experience: Background in resource planning, operations management, or a related field, preferably in a high-demand environment like an airport.
  • Track record of strong communication skills
