Requirements:
Fluent in Spanish
Previous experience as a Resort Manager in a significant Latin American market with a highly recognized brand
Good understanding of Mexican labor laws, unions and overall local business climate
Ability to represent owners interests at the HOA and Local Associations in the absence of the GM
Ability to create a strong relationship with the local authorities and key constituencies
Prior experience in leading and managing Capital Projects
Ability to effectively manage relationship and expectations of owners who are relentlessly focused on top-line revenues and profitability
Exceptional personal presence with guests, employees and homeowners
A demonstrated ability to be creative and adapt to both the National and International markets
Involvement in the local community and Master Development activities
Capable of effectively communicating/influencing all levels of constituencies
A proven track record of management coaching and development: particularly DOR, DORS, Dir. of Spa Director of Security
Ability to motivate and challenge the employees to deliver exceptional guest and homeowner experience
Good understanding of union environment and effective partnership with P&C on business/labor issues
Be effective at creating and maintaining a culture of learning and development among the employees
An unrelenting focus on details in all areas
Deep understanding of service standards necessary to maintain/improve the current awards and LQA/Forbes scores
Ability to drive service in the resort which will improve the guest experience
Strong business acumen and full understanding of revenue management, market segments, and cost controls of all expenses
Creativity on driving ancillary revenues
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with owners on hotel financial results or trends
Direct involvement with DOF on financial reports on 11 entities managed by the property
Ability to understand the intricacies of Resort, Golf, Retail, cross utilize resources with Naviva and 3 HOAs on one another
