Resort Maintenance Supervisors are responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of resort grounds, facilities, streets and equipment at an individual property. Additionally, they supervise and oversee individual resort maintenance team members.
Job Responsibility:
Follows-up on work assignments to ensure efficient, thorough completion of assigned work orders
Performs water testing and other maintenance duties related to a well-water system or on-site water meters, if applicable
Assists maintenance team with all aspects of property maintenance and repairs of grounds and facilities such as lawns, clubhouses, pools, streets, curbs, and gardening/landscaping
Assists with the selection of all contractual services
Completes regular inspections of resident sites throughout the resort
Assists with move-in procedures
Coordinates team member selection and development and ensures team members comply with appropriate policies and procedures
Prioritizes and resolves resort service requests
Collaborates with Resort Manager to establish emergency maintenance on-call schedule
Performs duties in a safe manner
Assists with maintenance issues regarding new homes as directed
Maintains vehicle/equipment maintenance logs
Coordinates and ensures completion of routine maintenance and minor emergency repairs
Ensures safe storage of hazardous chemicals and/or equipment
Prepares all maintenance-related logs
Reviews exterior improvement and tree maintenance/removal requests
Maintains inventory of equipment, tools, and supplies
Meets with Resort Manager daily to report on the status of all scheduled maintenance work
Issues resident rule reminders and violation notices and follows-up as needed
Assists Resort Manager with aspects of the capital expenditure program
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
3 years in experience with general maintenance techniques, repair work, and grounds (Required)
1 year in previous supervisory experience (Preferred)
Demonstrated knowledge of plumbing, construction, pool and grounds maintenance
Proficient in operating various hand tools and power equipment
Excellent organizational skills
Good verbal and written communication skills
Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use the Microsoft Office Suite, email, and internet
Ability to respond to resort needs during non-business hours
