Requirements

2 years experience supporting individuals who require high levels of support and are often deregulated
Experience of using de-escalation techniques to keep young people safe
Experience of providing detailed and accurate daily record keeping and incident reporting
Ability to demonstrate safe and effective decisions in challenging situations
Ability to demonstrate creativity when engaging and establishing trust with children and young people
Sound communication and judgement
Ability to evidence clarity over protecting personal and professional boundaries at all times
Must register under the PVG scheme

Requirements

Have previous experience working in a residential setting with young people
Have flexibility in the roles undertaken
Have strong communication skills

Full driving licence
Obtained, or working towards SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent desirable
