Residential Support Worker

• Supporting the social and educational needs of children, including accompanying them in classroom environments
• Acting as a key worker to provide one-to-one support and fostering nurturing relationships
• Developing engaging activities based on the specific interests and therapeutic needs of the young people
• Implementing individual care plans and using positive behaviour management techniques to manage risks
• Maintaining high standards in line with National Care Standards and coordinating with the wider care team

• Minimum 1 year previous experience working in a care setting with young people
• Demonstrate an understanding of legislation, behaviour management, and attachment theory
• Possess strong communication skills
• Hold a full driving licence
• Ideally hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or be willing to work towards this with our support)
• Be registered (or eligible to register) under the PVG scheme

Experience with non-verbal children is a plus
