We are seeking a resilient, empathetic, and proactive Residential Support Worker to join our team in Horsham. In this role, you will provide a stable, nurturing, and safe environment for children and young people who have faced significant challenges. Job Responsibility:

  • Providing high-quality daily care and support to children and young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Difficulties
  • Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour with patience and professional techniques
  • Assisting with educational goals, life skills, and community outings
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate daily logs and incident reports
  • Collaborating with social workers, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months of direct experience working within a Children's Residential Home setting
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Resilience and experience supporting young people with EBD and complex needs

Nice to have:

  • Enhanced DBS (Children & Adults) currently registered on the Update Service
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Full UK Driving License
