Support Worker (Children & Young People) Location: Uxbridge Salary: up to £28,500 per annum (DOE) Full-time | Rolling rota (includes sleep-ins) We are recruiting Support Workers to join an Ofsted-registered residential home for adolescent boys with Learning Disabilities and Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). This role is ideal for someone with a QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent, who is passionate about making a positive impact in young people's lives. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality care, promoting the health, welfare, education and development of young people. Contribute to a safe, supportive and homely environment where young people feel secure and valued. Support daily routines, including household tasks, appointments, education, leisure activities and family contact. Build positive relationships while maintaining clear professional boundaries. Assist with keyworker responsibilities, contributing to care plans and progress reviews. Apply de-escalation and behaviour management strategies when required. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, social workers and external professionals. Participate in training and professional development, including undertaking the Diploma Level 4 in Residential Childcare (sponsored after probation). Shift Pattern Rolling rota of 2 days on, 2 days off including sleep-ins (shared within the team). Requirements QCF/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Young People) or equivalent (essential). Experience working with young people in a residential, educational, or care setting. Strong communication, teamwork and behaviour management skills. Ability to work under pressure and handle challenging behaviour calmly. Commitment to safeguarding and professional standards.
