Residential Childcare Support Worker Children's Residential Home Location: Keighley, West Yorkshire Salary: £29,113 - £30,565 plus sleep-in allowance of £43.90 per shift (approximately £4,000 per annum) and a £500 welcome bonus Contract: Full-time, permanent (37 hours per week) Shifts: Days, evenings, and sleep-ins (1-2 per week) Make a Real Difference in a Child's Life If you are looking for a role where you can genuinely change lives, this could be the opportunity for you. About the Home This is a 2-bed children's home designed to provide a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for children with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). We are seeking compassionate and resilient individuals to join a new children's home in Keighley. You will support children aged 6-11 who have experienced trauma, helping them feel safe, valued, and supported every day. In this role, you are more than a support worker-you are a role model, a mentor, and someone children can rely on during some of the most important moments of their lives. What You'll Be Doing Building strong, trusting relationships with children Supporting daily routines, including school, activities, and bedtime Encouraging hobbies and interests such as sports, gaming, arts, and cooking Helping children develop confidence, independence, and emotional resilience Working closely with a supportive team and external professionals Following individual care and behaviour plans The focus is on helping each child move forward positively, with the aim of transitioning into family or foster care when the time is right. We are looking for individuals who are: Caring, patient, and emotionally resilient Passionate about supporting children with complex needs Strong communicators and team players Flexible to work shifts, including sleep-ins Experience in residential childcare is beneficial but not essential, as full training and support will be provided. A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards it) is required.
