Job Description

Are you an organised and detail-focused legal professional looking to develop your career in conveyancing? Gillespie Recruitment is working with a well-established law firm to recruit a Residential Property Paralegal. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive legal team and handle a varied caseload within a busy residential conveyancing department. This role would suit someone proactive, methodical and client-focused, with previous experience in residential conveyancing and post-completion work.

Job Responsibility

  • Managing a caseload of residential conveyancing matters under supervision
  • Opening files, completing onboarding documentation and compliance checks (AML/CDD)
  • Ordering and reviewing property searches and escalating any issues
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties
  • Supporting leasehold transactions and management company enquiries
  • Completing HM Land Registry applications and responding to requisitions
  • Serving notices, certificates of compliance and post-completion requirements
  • Providing clear client updates and maintaining high service standards
  • Supporting fee-earners and working collaboratively within the department

Requirements

  • Previous experience in residential conveyancing, including post-completion work
  • Knowledge of SDLT submissions and Land Registry applications
  • Familiarity with case management systems
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively
  • Confident communication skills with clients and third parties
  • A proactive and team-focused approach
