Job Description:

We are looking for an experienced Residential Property Accountant to join a team in North York. This is a contract role with potential to extend or become permanent. The candidate should be proficient with Yardi Voyager, have full-cycle accounting experience within the residential property management industry, and experience with month-end closing.

Job Responsibility:

Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process vendor invoices, ensure timely payments, track tenant billings, and follow up on outstanding receivables
Bank & Account Reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, credit cards, and general ledger accounts
Journal Entries & Adjustments: Record accruals, amortizations, depreciation, and other adjusting journal entries
TMI Reconciliation: Review lease agreements, track tenant charges, and reconcile Maintenance, and Insurance (TMI) expenses using Yardi
Month-End & Year-End Close: Support the closing process by ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately and timely

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of residential property accounting is required
Experience working with Yardi Voyager is a requirement
Ability to work onsite 3 times per week
