Job Description

Our client is seeking a motivated Residential Leasing Assistant to support a multi‑property residential portfolio in a fast‑paced environment. This role is focused on guiding prospective residents through the leasing process while also supporting day‑to‑day property operations and delivering an excellent resident experience in compliance with Fair Housing standards.

Job Responsibility

  • Conducting in-person and virtual apartment tours, responding to inquiries, and following up on leads to drive occupancy
  • Assisting with rental application preparation, reviewing income documentation, and ensuring accuracy prior to screening
  • Coordinating move-in requirements, including payments, utilities, renter’s insurance, and lease documentation
  • Supporting new residents during move-in and assisting current residents with lease-related questions, transfers, and general inquiries
  • Collaborating with maintenance and property teams to facilitate access, service requests, and daily operations
  • Providing front-office support by greeting walk-ins, answering phones, and assisting the leasing team as needed

Requirements

  • 2+ years of apartment leasing, rental application processing, or real estate sales experience
  • Familiarity with income verification documents and electronic lease agreements
  • Experience with property management and CRM systems (Yardi preferred)
  • Strong customer service, sales, communication, and organizational skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
  • four-year degree preferred
