Are you a highly proficient HVAC Service Technician ready for a leadership role? We are seeking a reliable professional with a required Connecticut D-2 license to manage complex residential service calls, provide expert diagnostics, and mentor junior technicians. In your role as the Residential Lead HVAC Service Technician, you will be the primary technical expert responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining residential heating and cooling systems. Job Responsibility:

  • Lead and execute advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide variety of residential HVAC systems (furnaces, heat pumps, AC units, boilers, etc.)
  • Act as the senior technical resource on the service team, providing expert guidance and mentorship to less experienced technicians during complex service calls
  • Ensure all service work adheres strictly to manufacturer specifications, local codes, and safety standards
  • Provide exceptional customer service by clearly explaining system issues, repair options, and preventive maintenance plans to homeowners
  • Utilize company-provided iPad and smartphone for efficient service documentation, work order management, and professional communication
  • Ensure the company vehicle is fully stocked, organized, and properly maintained
  • Complete all service-related paperwork accurately and promptly, including warranty forms and detailed reports

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in residential HVAC service and repair
  • D-2 (Heating, Piping & Cooling Limited) License is REQUIRED
  • Demonstrated experience in taking ownership of jobs, providing high-level diagnostics, and leadership or mentoring
  • Strong technical knowledge of residential HVAC system components, electrical systems, and refrigeration principles
  • Proficiency with technology, including using an iPad and company smartphone for daily job management
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record
