We are seeking a seasoned technician with the required CT licensing to run an installation crew, ensuring projects are completed on time, to code, and with superior craftsmanship. In your role as the Residential Lead HVAC Install Technician, you will manage and execute the installation of residential heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. You will lead a crew, coordinate with project managers, and act as the primary technical expert on the job site.
Job Responsibility:
Lead and manage the on-site installation of residential HVAC equipment, including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, and duct systems
Ensure all installations adhere strictly to local codes, manufacturer specifications, and safety standards
Act as the technical expert and point of contact, resolving on-site installation challenges and providing guidance to junior crew members
Maintain clear and timely communication with the Project Manager, office staff, and the customer regarding job progress and any necessary adjustments
Ensure the company vehicle is stocked, organized, and properly maintained
Utilize company-provided iPad and smartphone for job documentation, time tracking, and professional communication
Complete all job-related paperwork, including closeout documents and warranty information, accurately and promptly
Requirements:
3-5 years of experience in residential HVAC installation
S-2 (Heating, Piping & Cooling Unlimited) or D-2 (Heating, Piping & Cooling Limited) License is REQUIRED
Demonstrated experience in leading an installation crew or acting as a working Foreman
Strong technical knowledge of all residential HVAC system components and installation best practices
Proficiency with technology, including using an iPad and company smartphone for daily job management
Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain a clean driving record
