Job Description:

The Residential Engineer diagnoses, provides service and repairs to residential common area equipment including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior repairs, paint and decorating. Additionally, they respond to inquiries and work orders in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner to achieve maximum Residential satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ guidelines and policies.

Job Responsibility:

  • Diagnose, provide service and repairs to residential common area equipment including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior repairs, paint and decorating
  • Respond to inquiries and work orders in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner
  • Identify and perform repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers DOAS units
  • Perform building maintenance duties including painting, wallpapering, window installation and repair, floor treatment and repair, door hanging and repairing
  • Perform carpentry duties including repairing walls, doors and trim
  • furniture repairs
  • Replace burned out and defective fluorescent tubes and light bulbs
  • replace ballasts, light switches, duplex receptacles
  • Repair bathroom plumbing
  • replace or repair leaking faucets and damaged vanity sinks
  • unclog toilets, shower and sink drains
  • Maintain heating and refrigeration units, replace filters and clean vents
  • repair coolers
  • Clean all stations in Engineering, grease traps, plumbing stoppages
  • Maintenance and separation of refuse and trash chute
  • Implement and handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update logs
  • Respond to residents’ calls regarding maintenance of units and equipment
  • Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures

Requirements:

  • Fluent in English, reading and writing
  • Secondary education or equivalent experience
  • 1 to 2 years of employment in the related position
  • Working technical knowledge of general building maintenance
  • Working knowledge generally learned on-the-job or through professional certifications
  • Ability to work all shifts
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Computer skills including typing/word processing experience
  • Ability to work off devices and computer programs
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and be pro-active
  • Able to lift 20-50lbs regularly
  • Able to work while standing or walking for most of the shift
