An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated Residential Conveyancing Team Manager to join a well-established and leading law firm in the Manchester area. This key leadership role involves overseeing a team of conveyancers, managing workflow, promoting team development, and ensuring the delivery of an exceptional service to clients. The position is ideal for a skilled conveyancer with proven leadership abilities, looking to advance their career in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead, support, and inspire a team of residential conveyancers to meet departmental goals
  • Oversee daily operations, including caseload distribution and resource planning
  • Provide training, supervision, and mentoring to both junior and senior team members
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and team meetings to ensure alignment and collaboration
  • Support team members on complex or high-value matters, offering legal expertise as needed
  • Ensure all legal documents and processes are accurate and compliant with relevant legislation
  • Serve as the main point of contact for key client matters, ensuring all queries are handled efficiently and professionally
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other stakeholders
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and enhance client service
  • Ensure the team stays up to date with legal developments, regulatory changes, and firm protocols
  • Track performance metrics and lead continuous improvement initiatives within the department
  • Monitor team compliance with legal and regulatory standards, as well as firm-specific requirements
  • Proactively identify and manage risk across all transactions to uphold high professional standards

Requirements:

  • 5+ years in residential conveyancing with prior leadership experience
  • Legal qualification (e.g., Licensed Conveyancer, Solicitor, or equivalent) is highly desirable
