Job Responsibility:

  • Prepare comprehensive legal packs from the point a property is first marketed, identifying potential issues early to minimise delays at the start of the sale process
  • Manage a personal caseload of both sale and purchase files from instruction through to completion
  • Draft, review, and finalise all core conveyancing documents, including contracts, transfer deeds, and related legal documentation
  • Examine mortgage offers, search results, and contract packs for purchase matters, raising enquiries where necessary
  • Maintain proactive communication with clients, estate agents, lenders, and other solicitors to ensure each transaction progresses efficiently
  • Oversee financial elements of each matter, including preparation and verification of completion statements
  • Ensure compliance with CQS, SRA, and CLA requirements, as well as solicitor account rules
  • Supervise and delegate work to a Conveyancing Assistant, ensuring accuracy and timely completion of tasks
  • Carry out weekly file reviews and provide regular updates to clients and agents

Requirements:

  • Extensive previous experience as a Conveyancer, Licensed Conveyancer, or Solicitor
  • Strong understanding of all conveyancing processes and regulatory compliance obligations
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Confident communication and relationship-building skills, ensuring clients feel supported and informed
  • Proactive and detail-focused, able to work efficiently under pressure and manage deadlines
  • A commitment to outstanding client service, with a positive and solution-driven approach
