We are currently recruiting for full-time and relief roles across our specialist residential homes in Perthshire, Tayside and Fife. This is a truly rewarding opportunity to support children with complex needs, including autism, learning disabilities, and mental health difficulties, within a beautiful rural setting that emphasises outdoor learning and animal therapy.
Job Responsibility:
Holistic Support: Supporting the social and educational needs of children, including accompanying them in classroom environments
Relationship Building: Acting as a key worker to provide one-to-one support and fostering nurturing relationships
Activity Planning: Developing engaging activities based on the specific interests and therapeutic needs of the young people
Care Management: Implementing individual care plans and using positive behaviour management techniques to manage risks
Professional Excellence: Maintaining high standards in line with National Care Standards and coordinating with the wider care team
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year previous experience working in a care setting with young people
Demonstrate an understanding of legislation, behaviour management, and attachment theory
Possess strong communication skills (experience with non-verbal children is a plus)
Hold a full driving licence
Ideally hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or be willing to work towards this with our support)
Be registered (or eligible to register) under the PVG scheme
