Job Description:

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young individuals? Do you have the dedication and empathy to support children and young people in a residential setting? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Residential Childcare Worker in Glasgow area.

Job Responsibility:

Building trusting and supportive relationships with children and young people in your care
Assisting in the day-to-day care of children, ensuring their safety, and promoting a structured routine
Planning and participating in engaging recreational and educational activities
Collaborating with other team members and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to the young person's care
Maintaining accurate records of progress, incidents, and any concerns
Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations governing residential childcare

Requirements:

Have previous experience working in a care setting with young people in the UK
Have knowledge of cognitive behavioural approaches, attachment theory and child protection policy
Be able to demonstrate how your lived experiences have informed your approach to care
Have experience advocating on behalf of a young person
Register under the PVG scheme
Full driving licence
Obtained SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent
