Job Description

Support children with complex emotional and behavioural needs in a safe, nurturing home. You’ll work as part of a trained team helping young people feel secure, supported and able to thrive. You will help children feel safe, build trust, regulate emotions and experience stability. You’ll support daily routines, school transport, appointments, activities, and therapeutic plans on a medium to long-term care plan. This is a purposeful position caring for children and young people as they build independence, confidence, and life skills.

Job Responsibility

  • Support children with complex emotional and behavioural needs in a safe, nurturing home
  • Help children feel safe, build trust, regulate emotions and experience stability
  • Support daily routines, school transport, appointments, activities, and therapeutic plans on a medium to long-term care plan
  • Caring for children and young people as they build independence, confidence, and life skills
  • Creating stability, modelling positive relationships, supporting education and aspirations, and helping them navigate the practical and emotional challenges of growing up
  • Contribute to support planning, risk management, professional meetings and partnership working

Requirements

  • Hold the right to work in the UK and the ability to commute to Crewe
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and be over 21 (insurance requirement)
  • Be reliable, calm and emotionally resilient
  • Be willing to complete training and qualifications

Nice to have

Experience in care, youth work, security, support work, mental health, sports coaching or the armed forces is beneficial but not essential
