Job Description:

Care Bank Residential Childcare Support Workers for a new children’s residential home in Keighley. The home will care for 2 children aged 6-11 with social and emotional challenges. The main purpose is settlement into foster care or back to family. Staff provide care, support and interventions to ensure each child, and their family or care givers can engage, heal and thrive.

Job Responsibility:

play a key part in the child’s support system, providing valuable guidance and care to help them thrive
help them build healthy relationships
advocate pro-actively for each child’s needs, rights, views, and ensures that these are met
make certain that each child’s individuality, difference and diversity are always appreciated
ensure children are provided with equal opportunities and are not discriminated against
encourage each child to be involved in all aspects of their care
involve skill development, problem-solving and assessment of risk

Requirements:

caring and enthusiastic person
embodies resilience, empathy, and a deep commitment to making a positive impact
willing and happy to get immersed in all sorts of activities
role model and mentor
trauma informed
specialise in providing nurture and care to children who are looked after
