Job Description:

Pebbles Care offers exceptional opportunity to collaborate with established team and become integral part of children's lives. Role involves working with children with resilience to deal with challenging behaviours while offering caring and supportive therapeutic approach.

Job Responsibility:

  • Collaborate with established team as integral part of children's lives
  • Support every aspect of home life including driving children to school, appointments, and visits
  • Food preparation and household chores
  • Making lasting memories through fun-filled activities, outings, and holidays
  • Provide support tailored to young person's needs either one-to-one or two-to-one
  • Learn therapeutic care model during induction
  • May occasionally support other homes within same geographical area

Requirements:

  • Dedication to safeguarding children and young individuals
  • Strong desire to obtain qualifications and continue personal development
  • Confident and resilient nature
  • Valid, full UK manual driver's license
  • Kind and supportive nature
  • Patience and ability to cultivate non-judgmental relationships
  • Engaged and attentive listener
  • Creative ability to have fun and learn new skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient IT skills and experience using Microsoft packages

Nice to have:

  • Up to 12 months experience working with children or young adults
  • Working towards or desire to obtain SCQF Level 7 or Level 3 Diploma relevant to Children and Young People's Residential workforce
  • Familiar with Codes of Practice set out by regulatory bodies
  • Existing PVG/DBS certificate
