We are looking for a resilient, compassionate and driven person to join our team as a Residential Care Worker, supporting the most vulnerable children with complex needs, who may have mental health diagnosis and display high levels of self-harming behaviour, as well experiencing adverse childhood experiences and trauma. The home will consist of a registered homes manager, two deputy managers, a team of Senior residential staff, residential care workers, wake night staff and health staff. The home will offer outreach work to children who are in distress and struggling with their emotions, to support relationship building prior to them potentially moving to the home, which is a 4-bed short to medium term home registered under the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
Job Responsibility:
Supporting the most vulnerable children with complex needs, who may have mental health diagnosis and display high levels of self-harming behaviour, as well experiencing adverse childhood experiences and trauma
Work on a 24/7 rota, including weekends on a rota basis, working bank holidays and unsociable hours
Requirements:
Criteria as marked as essential in the person specification is required for this role
The ability to converse at ease with people within the home, external professionals and provide advice in accurate spoken English is essential for the post
DBS clearance is required
Must have the right to work in the UK to be eligible for appointment
