Job Description

As a Residential Care Worker at Kanda, you’ll provide practical support, guidance and care to young people experiencing vulnerability. You’ll help them build life skills, confidence and independence while ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

Job Responsibility

  • Provide hands-on care and guidance in a safe, supportive home environment
  • Support young people to achieve their individual goals through personalised care plans
  • Assist with daily living activities, education, self-care and recreation
  • Build strong, trusting relationships grounded in encouragement, consistency and emotional safety
  • Maintain accurate, professional documentation to support quality care

Requirements

  • A current driver’s licence (minimum P2)
  • A Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or eligibility to obtain them)
  • Either hold, or be willing to enrol in, a Certificate IV or Diploma in a relevant field

Nice to have

Previous experience (youth work, disability, mental health, aged care, childcare)
