Job Description:

Located in various locations across the Gold Coast, the role involves providing direct care in a residential setting while ensuring a safe, nurturing environment and promoting positive relationships. Opportunities for mentoring and advancement to permanent positions are available. Applicants should be willing to work shifts across a 24/7 roster and show resilience in supporting young people with complex needs.

Job Responsibility:

Provide direct care within a residential setting, ensuring a safe and nurturing home-like environment and promoting positive family relationships
Work within a trauma-informed framework to make a real difference with young people who have complex needs and challenging behaviours

Requirements:

Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential Care), or equivalent or working towards
Valid Australian full driver’s licence, for the state you have applied for
Valid Australian working rights
Willingness to complete a Child Safety and Personal Screening Check
Hold (or are willing to obtain) a Working With Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, First Aid and CPR qualifications
Availability to work any rostered shifts across a 24/7 roster model, including awake nights and sleepovers
Passion for supporting young people who have experienced trauma and have a disability
